 1. DARE TO THRILL FILM

- I had a lot of fun watching this film filled with thrill since it reminded me of when I would go out with my friends and experience all the excitement of going out without plans and going with the flow of what the night brings. You can tell compared with the other films they probably used their phones for the beginning since the lighting and focus was not the best, but it helps bring out the realness of a teenagers' life. As well with the clothing they were wearing which was modern and typical of what anyone would wear on a daily basis.  The use of the camera movements and angles of the car while driving was super nice, one of the best was the tracking shot they used. The film was like an action movie which I love and left me with wanting to know what they saw at the end when they all made shocked faces.

2. THE BLUE BOAR

- After watching the film, I did not really understand what was happening although I could tell with the use of Victorian dresses the actress has on that it was to illustrate a specific time period and the background of the character. Something I noticed was the use of high key lighting throughout the whole clip, this helped set the mood of the scene, an airy feel. There was also a lot of use of close-up angles of the characters which shows us their emotion and reactions up close, making me feel more connected with the character. The singing at the end of the clip made the scene feel livelier and more connected. The overall bright colors bring a positive and happy feeling when watching the clip.

3. WHITE COAT

- This was amazing, from the beginning of the introduction of the title to the end, I wanted to keep watching more of it. I found the introduction of the title super nice, the effect of the smoke on it and also throughout the scene, it gave it a nice effect. The music in the background helps set the mood and help intensify the action since it is scary. The editing they did was really good and the transitions used helps pull the whole scene together. The low-key lighting was also nice since it creates a sense of tension as well as the customs like the man with the white coat, it helps the audience know the location the scene is taking place, in this case in a science lab which makes sense with title being "White Coat".

4. ALWAYS WATCHING

- After watching this film, I found the soundtrack to be the best part, it builds suspense and even scared me a little with the suspense of what is going to happen next. The camera work was also good, the close-ups capture the fear of the character as well as the point of view of the kidnapper and victim providing a deeper phycological view of their experience. The cuts and transition were done well as they are quick and fast capturing the sense of danger. Although, the scene was filmed most likely on a phone because of the quality of it, the technical elements were done really well, and it was enjoyable to watch especially if you like that suspense.

5. STALKER

- After watching this film, I felt like it ended really fast and not much technical elements were done. Without the title, I would not really understand what was happening, we never saw the stalker, so it was all suspense. The sound effect did create and build that tension since it was out of nowhere, underscoring the stalker's presence. The angles and camerawork also helped me understand and captures the fear and anxiety of the victim, there is also point of view shots from the stalker although we cannot see them providing an insight into their perspective. The editing was also okay, since the quick cuts from scene to scene showed the sense of panic.

6. NOSTALGIA

- After watching this film, it matches perfectly with the title. Although, I did not really see much happening I understood the story it was trying to tell, with the older lady and the younger one wearing the same clothing representing her younger self. The music in the background help support and evoke nostalgia since it was a calming soundtrack. With this being about nostalgia, I would have taught they would use soft lighting but instead they used high-key lighting since it was filmed outside in the bright sun. The close-up shot also helped capture the emotions and expressions of both characters and their feelings.

7. RISE

- This was in my opinion the best one, to begin the quality of the film was done professionally and is able to focus on the characters and the props. The camera work is amazing as well, the close-ups, the tracking of the soccer ball, and the high angle shot where it establishes the setting of the scene it all brings together the idea. The acting done by the character was also really good, the way the camera captures him tying his shoes, playing soccer, and putting on his headphones, was all done pretty well. The editing pulls it all together for sure, the transitions, cuts, and continuity.

8. DEAR LOVER

- After watching this film, you can tell they tried to fill in as many angles that they could which is good since they are showing they know each one. The actress did a really good job in acting, the way she demonstrates her emotions makes me feel what she is feeling and seeing her perspective. She uses both kind of lighting, high-key and low-key. High key is used when she is outside by the river, and lowkey is used when she is inside where she is narrating what is happening. I found it nice because it conveys different moods depending on the color. I found the story really interesting and is something people can relate with.

- Today in class we watch these eight different films, so our groups are able to see other students work. It definitely helped us out to see what other people did, and you can definitely tell which tried more than others. It gave us an idea of what to do and what not to do when recording our video and how we can improve it. My group took in an idea of what a good video would look like, and this is going to help us perfect it.
